EVENT OVERVIEW
Now for the third year in a row, Ritual Events came back to produce what has become one of the most highly rated and anticipated festival in Central Texas. Though weather during build and on the evening of the first night caused challenges to the team, ultimately these challenges were overcome and the event went on seamlessly. Additionally, this ever-growing festival hit a couple major milestones; not only with the inclusion of the Grammy Award winning artist Leon Bridges, back for his first ever large scale performance in his home town of Fort Worth, but also by hitting it’s sell out point for the first time ever. Keep watching this event for big things to happen!
“Fortress Festival may still have to pay more dues in the coming years, but its staying power (which we have evaluated in previous reviews) was reaffirmed this past weekend. And, if the impressive attendance was not a sufficient testimony to that, then consider the fact that we spotted a sum total of zero festival staff members running around the grounds like chickens with their heads cut off (a foolproof canary in the coalmine for all festival disasters) all weekend long.” – Central Track
“At a Sold Out Fortress Festival, Leon Bridges Has the Perfect Homecoming” -D Magazine
“Now in its third year, Fort Worth’s nationally recognized music festival had a lot of work to do to beat its sophomore year, and though the start was rough, the finish was worth the wait.” -Dallas Observer
